So this is week 2 of me waking up at 5am to run.
Maybe I should be more clear: today was day 5 of me waking up at 5am to run. I just could not get myself out of bed two days last week. BUT I woke up at 6am on Saturday to run. That totally makes up for it, right?
Besides, I figure the first week is the hardest. So far this (work) week, I’ve gotten up both days. Already an improvement.
This morning, I kept telling myself a quote from A League of Their Own that I saw on Pinterest: “Of course it’s hard. It’s supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. Hard is what makes it great.”
I have to remind myself of this. A lot. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. I’m going to be healthy, in shape, and (hopefully) by the end, I’ll be able to do something that a lot of people can’t (or won’t even try) to do.
That sense of accomplishment will make it all worth it.
…At least let’s hope.
